Past Scholarship Award Winners
2009- 10 | |
In the eleventh year of the EBBOA College Scholarship Program,
we raised $6,300 from official's donations (including donations
rolled over from the prior year) to award to another outstanding
applicant pool. The Scholarship Selection Committee chose
to grant two $1,000 first-place awards, five $500 second-place
awards, and nine $200 third-place awards.

Unfortunately, we did not receive any scholarship applications for the 2008-09 season. All donations received in the 2008-09 season were rolled into the pool available for 2009-10 applicants. |

In the ninth year of the EBBOA College Scholarship Program, we
raised $4,700 from official's donations to award to another
outstanding applicant pool. The Scholarship Selection
Committee chose to grant two $750 first-place awards, two $500
second-place awards, and eleven $200 third-place awards.

outstanding applicant pool. The Scholarship Selection Committee

The 1999-2000 basketball season marked the first year of the EBBOA College Scholarship Program. In our inaugural year, we raised $4,400 solely from officials' donations. Every dollar raised went directly to student-athletes in the form of college scholarships. Successful applicants completed an extensive application which included writing two essays and obtaining two recommendations. One of the 1999-2000 first-place award winners, Leilani Tirona of Alameda High School, is shown here receiving her scholarship at the Annual EBBOA Banquet, accompanied by her mother and coach, Brad Thomas. The EBBOA awards the "Bob Beetz Award" to individuals who are role models for other officials, display rules knowledge, proper mechanics, and adherence to the Officials Code of Ethics. Do your best.
